Arranging Events

Travis County Voter Registration takes advantage of every opportunity to register voters:

  • Hosting and arranging our own events

  • Setting up a table at local events

  • Canvassing at local events

  • Canvassing in neighborhoods

We use a variety of tools to arrange these events such as:

  • Email Blasts

  • Facebook page

  • Signup Genius

  • Partnerships with organizations and businesses

We also currently have all of our voter registration events hosted on on our VDR Community Website Calendar. You can also request aid in hosting a voter registration on the same page here.

We also make sure to stay stocked with plenty of event supplies, such as tables, posters, and of course extra forms!

TCVR Events

National Voter Registration Month

  • While National Voter Registration Day (4th Tuesday of September) is a holiday outside of Travis County, we arrange voter registration events all over the county for the entirety of the month.

Voter Registration Deadline Day

  • On the last day to register to vote, 30 days before an election, we set up multiple voter registration efforts all over the county.

  • We will partner with local businesses and schedule dozens of VDRs at those locations.

  • We will keep the Voter Registration Offices open until late into the evening to allow last minute applicants in before the Deadline. Before a general election we have stayed open until midnight.

  • In 2020, we arranged Drive-thru Voter Registration Events on the deadline to keep up with social distancing guidelines.

Grad Week

  • This is an event in which we will set up a voter registration table in the waiting areas for high school seniors right before they graduate.
